General questions
What treatments does Uderma Medspa and Laser offer?
Injectables (Botox, Xeomin, Daxxify, dermal filler and lip filler), Sciton laser treatments (BBL HERO, MOXI, HALO and ProFractional), laser hair removal, EXION RF microneedling and ultrasound, EMFACE, EMSCULPT NEO, Emsella, Ultherapy Prime, HydraFacial, chemical peels, PDO thread lifts, vein treatments, and wellness services like medical weight loss, hormone therapy, vitamin shots and IV therapy. You’ll find the full list under Treatments in the menu.
How do I know which treatment is right for me?
Start with a consultation. Your provider looks at your skin or the area you want to improve, listens to what you’d like to change and what you’d rather leave alone, and puts a plan together. If you’d rather read up first, the guides by concern and the treatment finder on this site will narrow it down before you come in.
Do I need a consultation before treatment?
For your first treatment, yes. We go through your health history, assess your skin or the area you want treated, and build a plan, and for a lot of treatments we can do the treatment the same day. If you’re a returning client on a maintenance schedule, you can usually book the treatment directly.
Who performs your aesthetic treatments?
Licensed medical professionals: a board-certified nurse practitioner, experienced injectors, a medical esthetician and laser practitioner, and a permanent makeup artist. You can meet all of them on our Why UDERMA page, and every treatment is matched to the provider trained for it.
How long do treatments typically take?
Most visits run 30 to 60 minutes. Injectable appointments are often done in under half an hour, and laser, HydraFacial and body treatments usually take 30 to 60 minutes. You’ll see the exact time for each service when you book it.
Is there any downtime after treatment?
It depends on the treatment. Injectables, HydraFacial, EMFACE and EMSCULPT NEO have little to none. BBL and MOXI leave a few days of redness and light flaking. Deeper resurfacing like HALO or ProFractional means several days of redness and peeling. We’ll match the treatment to the downtime you can take.
When will I see results?
Neurotoxins start working in about three to five days and settle in by two weeks. Filler shows right away and refines as the swelling goes down. Laser and microneedling results build over several weeks as new collagen forms, and body treatments show over the following weeks to months. Your provider gives you the timeline for your own plan.
How long do the results last?
Neurotoxins usually last three to four months. Filler lasts anywhere from several months to over a year, depending on the product and the area. Laser and skin results hold up well with sunscreen and periodic maintenance, and body results last with an active lifestyle and an occasional maintenance session.
How often will I need treatments?
Neurotoxins are usually repeated every three to four months. Laser and skin treatments are often done as a short series, then once or twice a year. HydraFacial works well every four to six weeks. Your consultation sets a schedule that fits your goals and your calendar.
Can treatments be combined?
Yes, and most plans do. Common pairings are BBL with MOXI, Botox and filler in the same visit, EMFACE with injectables, or a HydraFacial before an event. Your provider puts them in an order that lets them support each other, spaced safely.
What should I do before my appointment?
Come with clean skin, and tell us about any medications, supplements and recent treatments. Before lasers and peels, stay out of the sun, skip tanning for a few weeks and pause retinoids the way we tell you. Before injectables, skip alcohol and, if your doctor is fine with it, blood-thinning pain relievers for a day or two. Every treatment has its own prep page on this site.
What should I expect after my treatment?
Some redness, swelling or tenderness, anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending on the treatment. You’ll go home with written aftercare, usually no heat, hard workouts or sun for a short while, and gentle skincare. Call us with any question at all. We’d much rather hear from you than have you sit at home wondering.
Are aesthetic treatments painful?
Most are easy to tolerate. We use numbing cream, cooling and a gentle technique, and nitrous oxide (Pro-Nox) is there for treatments that need more comfort. Your provider tells you what a treatment feels like before you start and adjusts as you go.
What are the potential side effects or risks?
The common ones are temporary: redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness or flaking. Every medical treatment carries rarer risks too, and your provider goes through them with you at your consultation, where we also check for anything that would make a treatment a bad fit for you.
How much do med spa treatments cost?
It depends on the treatment, the area, and for injectables the number of units or syringes. Current prices are on our online booking page and in the pricing guides on this site, and you leave your consultation with a written plan and a quote for exactly what you need.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
Ask us at your consultation or give us a call, and we’ll go over the payment options and package pricing we have available. We’ll walk you through what fits your plan.
How do I schedule a consultation?
Book online through our scheduling page, call us at 727-569-6616, or send the contact form and we’ll call you back. We’re at 36426 US Highway 19 N, Palm Harbor, FL 34684.
How do I choose a reputable med spa?
Look for medical oversight and licensed providers, a consultation before any treatment, FDA-cleared devices, before-and-after photos of the clinic’s own patients, straight answers about downtime and results, and reviews from real clients. A good med spa is happy to tell you which treatment it would not recommend for you.
New patients
What can I expect during my first visit?
A short health history, a conversation about what you’d like to change, an assessment of your skin or the area you want treated, and a written plan. For a lot of treatments we can do the treatment the same day if you’re ready.
Do you offer complimentary consultations?
Consultations are booked as their own 30-minute appointment with a provider, and the current fee is shown on our online booking page. You leave with a plan and a quote for exactly what you need.
How should I prepare for my consultation?
Bring a list of your medications and supplements, think about what bothers you most and what you’d rather leave alone, and bring photos of results you like if you have them. Coming without makeup helps with the skin assessment.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
A photo ID, your list of medications and supplements, the names of the skincare products you use, and your questions.
Will my treatment be performed during my consultation?
Often, yes, for injectables and many skin treatments, as long as the assessment clears you and there’s time in the schedule. Laser and body treatments are usually booked as their own appointment after the consultation.
How do you create a personalized treatment plan?
From your assessment, your goals, your timeline and your budget. Your provider puts the treatments in order, tells you what to expect from each one, and writes it down so you can decide at your own pace.
How do I know which treatment is right for me?
Your provider recommends it at your consultation, based on your skin and your goals. If you want a head start, the guides by concern and the treatment finder on this site will narrow it down.
Can I see before-and-after photos?
Yes. Our Results page and our Instagram show real clients treated here at UDERMA, and your provider can show you more in the office that match your concern.
Do you offer treatment packages?
Yes. Series pricing and seasonal specials are listed on our booking page, and the Packages section of this site explains what each one includes.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We take major credit and debit cards through our secure online booking and here in the office. If you have another payment method in mind, just ask us when you book.
Injectables
What is the difference between Botox and dermal fillers?
Botox and the other neurotoxins (Xeomin, Daxxify) relax the muscles that create expression lines, like frown lines and crow’s feet. Dermal filler restores volume and structure, in the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline or under the eyes. Plenty of plans use both, for different jobs.
What areas can be treated with Botox?
Forehead lines, frown lines between the brows, crow’s feet, a lip flip, the masseter muscles for TMJ and jaw slimming, the trapezius muscles, and the underarms for excessive sweating.
What areas can be treated with dermal fillers?
Lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, temples, under the eyes (tear trough), the lines and folds around the nose and mouth, and non-surgical buttock enhancement. We also offer Kybella to reduce fat under the chin, and hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved if you ever want to start over.
How long does Botox take to work?
You’ll usually notice the first change in three to five days, with the full effect at about two weeks.
How long do Botox results last?
Usually three to four months, and a maintenance visit keeps it going from there.
How long do dermal fillers last?
It depends on the product and the area. Lip filler generally lasts around nine to twelve months, and cheeks, chin and jawline often go longer. Radiesse also stimulates your own collagen, so its effect continues after the product itself is gone.
Is there downtime after Botox or filler?
Very little. Expect small bumps or mild swelling for a few hours after Botox, and some swelling or bruising for a few days after filler. Skip hard workouts, heat and alcohol for about a day.
Can I get Botox and filler during the same appointment?
Yes, that’s a common visit. Your injector plans the order and the amounts so the two work together.
Will I still look natural after injectables?
That’s the whole goal. We dose conservatively, place the product to suit your anatomy, and aim for a rested version of you with your expressions intact.
What should I avoid before and after Botox or dermal fillers?
Before: alcohol for 24 hours and, if your doctor is fine with it, blood-thinning pain relievers like aspirin or ibuprofen for a day or two. After: stay upright for four hours after a neurotoxin, and skip hard workouts, heat, facials and massaging the treated area for about a day.
Botox
What does Botox treat?
Botox and the other neuromodulators soften the wrinkles that come from repeated muscle movement: forehead lines, frown lines (the 11s) and crow’s feet. You get a smoother, more rested look while keeping your natural expression.
Does Botox hurt and is there downtime?
The injections take a few minutes with a very fine needle, and most clients feel only a small pinch. There’s no real downtime, so you can get back to your day right away, and we go over a few simple aftercare tips before you leave.
How long does Botox take to work and how long does it last?
You’ll usually start to see results in three to five days, with the full effect at about two weeks. Results generally last three to four months, and a maintenance treatment keeps you looking refreshed.
Will Botox look natural?
At UDERMA we dose conservatively and tailor the placement to your anatomy and your goals, so you look like a rested version of yourself, never frozen.

Dermal Fillers
What can dermal fillers do?
Dermal filler restores volume and structure. It can enhance the cheeks, jawline and chin, soften folds, and balance facial proportions for a rested, lifted look.
How long do dermal fillers last?
Depending on the product and the area, most hyaluronic acid fillers last nine to eighteen months, and some biostimulatory options last longer. We recommend the product that fits your goals.
Is filler reversible?
Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved if you need it to be, so nothing you decide today has to be permanent.

Lips & Russian Lip Filler
What is the Russian lip technique?
The Russian lip technique is a filler method that builds the lip vertically from the base, which creates lift, a defined cupid’s bow and crisp borders. The result is a heart-shaped look with volume and definition, rather than a flat, pushed-forward look.
How long does lip filler last?
Most lip filler lasts around nine to twelve months, depending on the product and your metabolism. Many clients come in for a small top-up to keep the shape and volume they like.
Does lip filler hurt and is there downtime?
We numb the area for comfort, and most clients tolerate the treatment well. Expect some swelling and possibly a little bruising for a few days. The final result shows once that settles.
Can lip filler be dissolved?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid lip filler can be dissolved if you ever want to adjust or reset your shape, which makes it a low-commitment way to try an enhancement.

Laser & skin rejuvenation
What laser treatments do you offer?
Sciton BBL HERO, MOXI, HALO and ProFractional for the skin, laser hair removal with the Candela GentleMax Pro, PicoWay for tattoo removal, LipLase for the lips, and laser treatment for broken capillaries, small veins, skin tags and cherry angiomas.
What skin concerns can laser treatments address?
Sun damage and brown spots, redness and rosacea, uneven texture and large pores, fine lines, acne scars, loose skin, unwanted hair, small veins and harmless skin growths.
Are laser treatments safe for all skin types?
Not every laser is right for every skin type, which is why we pick the device and the settings for your skin at your consultation. Between BBL, MOXI, HALO and ProFractional, there’s usually a good option.
Does laser skin treatment hurt?
Most people describe warmth, or a light snapping feeling. We have numbing cream, cooling and Pro-Nox on hand, and we numb the deeper treatments ahead of time.
How many laser treatments will I need?
BBL and MOXI are often done as a series of three, a few weeks apart. HALO and ProFractional usually take one or two sessions. Laser hair removal takes a series, because hair grows in cycles. We set your plan at the consultation.
How much downtime is required after laser treatment?
BBL and MOXI: a few days of redness and light flaking, and makeup is usually fine the next day. HALO and ProFractional: several days of redness and peeling. Laser hair removal: nothing beyond a little redness.
When will I see results from laser skin treatments?
After BBL, pigment darkens and sheds within about a week. Texture and tone keep improving over the following weeks, and the collagen changes build for two to three months.
Can laser treatments improve wrinkles and fine lines?
Yes. HALO, ProFractional and MOXI resurface the skin and stimulate collagen, which softens fine lines. For deeper expression lines we usually add a neurotoxin.
Can laser treatments help with acne scars?
Yes. HALO and ProFractional resurface the scarred texture, and EXION RF microneedling remodels the collagen underneath. This is usually done as a series.
Can laser treatments improve sun damage and pigmentation?
Yes, that is exactly what BBL HERO is built for, often paired with MOXI for texture and glow. Some kinds of pigmentation do better with peels, and your consultation sorts out which kind you have.
What should I do before and after a laser treatment?
Before: no sun or tanning for a few weeks, pause retinoids and exfoliating acids the way we tell you, and come without makeup. After: gentle skincare, sunscreen every day, no picking at flaking skin, and no heat or hard workouts for the first day or two.
Laser & Light Treatments
What is the difference between BBL HERO, MOXI and HALO?
They do different jobs. BBL HERO (broadband light) goes after pigmentation, redness and sun damage. MOXI is a gentle non-ablative laser that resurfaces for tone and texture with minimal downtime. HALO is a hybrid laser, ablative and non-ablative together, for deeper resurfacing and glow. We often combine them.
How much downtime do laser treatments have?
It depends on the device. MOXI and BBL usually mean a few days of redness, with pigment that darkens and sheds like coffee grounds. HALO and deeper resurfacing mean a few days of redness and peeling. We match the treatment to the downtime you can take.
How many sessions will I need?
Many clients see a glow after a single BBL or MOXI, and we usually recommend a series of three a few weeks apart for pigmentation and texture. Your plan is set at your consultation.
Are laser treatments safe for my skin?
UDERMA uses medical-grade Sciton devices and sets them for your skin. A consultation and skin assessment make sure both the treatment and the settings are right for you.

Laser Hair Removal
How many laser hair removal sessions do I need?
Hair grows in cycles, so a series of six to eight sessions a few weeks apart is typical for lasting reduction, with occasional maintenance after that.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
Most clients describe a quick snapping feeling, and the device cools the skin as it works. Sessions are fast, especially on smaller areas.

Skin care
What facial is best for my skin?
We offer three HydraFacial levels: Signature, Deluxe and Platinum. Your provider recommends the level and the boosters for your skin, whether you’re dealing with dryness, congestion, dullness or fine lines.
How often should I get a facial?
Every four to six weeks matches your skin’s renewal cycle and keeps the results steady. Before an event, book it a few days ahead.
What is the difference between a facial and medical-grade skin treatment?
A facial cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates the surface. Medical-grade treatments like peels, microneedling and lasers work deeper, change the skin over time, and are done or supervised by medical professionals.
Can facials help with acne?
Yes. HydraFacial clears out congestion, chemical peels cut down on breakouts and oil, and BBL Acne Clear targets the bacteria and inflammation behind acne. The plan depends on the kind of acne you have.
Can treatments help reduce fine lines and wrinkles?
Yes. Microneedling, chemical peels and lasers improve fine lines and texture, while neurotoxins and filler handle expression lines and lost volume. Most plans use two or three of them together.
What treatments are best for hyperpigmentation?
BBL HERO and MOXI for sun spots and uneven tone, chemical peels for melasma-type pigmentation, and HydraFacial with brightening boosters to keep it up. Your consultation identifies which kind of pigmentation you have.
What treatments are best for acne scars?
Microneedling with PRP or exosomes, EXION RF microneedling, and laser resurfacing with HALO or ProFractional, usually as a series.
What skincare products should I use at home?
A gentle cleanser, a broad-spectrum sunscreen every day, and one or two active products picked for your skin, like a retinoid or an antioxidant. Your provider gives you a short routine that supports your treatments, not a shelf full of products.
Do I need medical-grade skincare products?
They’re not required, but they help your results last and get your skin ready for treatments. Your provider tells you which ones matter for your plan and which ones you can skip.
Can I combine professional treatments with my skincare routine?
Yes, and we plan around it. You pause retinoids and exfoliating acids for a few days before peels, microneedling and lasers, then start them again once your skin has settled.
Microneedling & RF
What is RF microneedling (EXION)?
RF microneedling combines fine micro-needles with radiofrequency energy to remodel collagen below the surface, which improves texture, pores, fine lines, acne scars and laxity. EXION adds ultrasound and targeted RF for deeper tightening with little disruption at the surface.
What is exosome microneedling?
Exosomes are growth-factor messengers that we apply along with microneedling to support healing, collagen production and glow. Paired with the microneedling channels, they can improve both the result and the recovery.
Is there downtime with microneedling?
Expect redness like a mild sunburn for a day or two, sometimes with light flaking. Most clients are back to normal activities the next day with the right aftercare.
How many sessions do I need?
A series of three, about a month apart, is common for texture, pores and scarring, with maintenance as needed. Your plan is personalized at your consultation.

Chemical Peels
What does a chemical peel do?
A chemical peel exfoliates the skin to improve tone, texture, fine lines, mild pigmentation and breakouts, bringing fresher skin to the surface. We customize the strength, from light peels to deeper ones.
How much downtime does a peel have?
Light peels have little to no downtime. Medium peels can mean a few days of flaking and redness. We match the peel to your skin and your schedule.

Body sculpting & contouring
What is body contouring?
Non-surgical treatments that reduce fat, build muscle or tighten skin, with no incisions and no downtime. At UDERMA that means EMSCULPT NEO, EXION Body and LPG Endermologie, plus Emsella for the pelvic floor.
What areas of the body can be treated?
Abdomen, buttocks, thighs, arms and calves with EMSCULPT NEO. Loose skin and cellulite with EXION Body and Endermologie.
Is body sculpting painful?
No. EMSCULPT NEO feels like strong muscle contractions with warmth, and we adjust the intensity to you. EXION Body and Endermologie feel like a warm, deep massage.
How many body contouring treatments will I need?
A typical EMSCULPT NEO series is four sessions about a week apart. EXION Body and Endermologie are also done as a series. We set your plan at the consultation.
How long does a body sculpting treatment take?
About 30 minutes per area for EMSCULPT NEO, and you can go straight back to your day afterward.
When will I see results?
Muscle tone is often noticeable within a few weeks of finishing the series. Fat reduction shows over about two to three months, as your body clears the treated fat.
Is there downtime after body contouring?
None. Some people feel mild soreness for a day or two, like the day after a workout.
Are body sculpting results permanent?
Your body clears the fat the treatment reduces over the weeks that follow, and gaining weight later can still change how the area looks. You keep the muscle benefit with regular activity and, for a lot of our clients, a maintenance session a few times a year.
Is body contouring a substitute for weight loss?
No. It’s meant for people at or near their goal weight who want to shape specific areas. If weight loss is the goal, start with our medical weight loss program. The two work well together.
EMSCULPT NEO
What does EMSCULPT NEO do?
EMSCULPT NEO builds muscle and reduces fat in the treated area at the same time (abdomen, glutes and more), using synchronized RF heating and high-intensity electromagnetic (HIFEM) contractions. It puts the muscle through contractions you could not do on your own.
Is EMSCULPT NEO painful and is there downtime?
You feel strong but tolerable muscle contractions and warmth during the 30-minute session. There’s no downtime, so clients go back to normal activity right away, sometimes with mild soreness.
How many sessions and when will I see results?
A typical protocol is four sessions over a couple of weeks. Results keep developing over the following weeks as the muscle builds and your body clears the treated fat.
Who is EMSCULPT NEO for?
Clients who want to tone, strengthen and slim a specific area. That includes people already close to their goal who want more definition, and busy people who want body contouring without surgery or downtime.

EMFACE
What is EMFACE and how does it work?
EMFACE is a needle-free facial treatment that pairs synchronized RF energy, which tightens and smooths the skin, with HIFES energy that tones the facial muscles underneath. You get firmer, more lifted skin with no injections and no downtime.
Does EMFACE hurt and is there downtime?
Most clients describe it as warm and tingly, with gentle muscle contractions. It’s comfortable and needle-free, and there’s essentially no downtime, so you can go right back to your day.
How many EMFACE sessions do I need and how long do results last?
A typical protocol is four sessions about a week apart. The lifting and tightening keep improving over the following weeks, and results can last several months. A maintenance session now and then keeps it going.
Who is a good candidate for EMFACE?
Clients who want a natural lift and firmer skin without Botox or filler, and clients who want something that works alongside their injectables. A consultation at UDERMA confirms whether it fits your goals.
Ultherapy
What is Ultherapy and what does it lift?
Ultherapy Prime uses focused ultrasound to stimulate collagen deep in the skin and in the layers beneath it, which lifts and tightens the brow, jawline, neck and décolletage over time, without surgery.
How long until I see Ultherapy results and how long do they last?
Collagen rebuilds gradually, so results develop over two to three months and can last a year or more. Many clients come back for a touch-up once a year to maintain the lift.
Is there downtime with Ultherapy?
There’s essentially no downtime. Some clients have mild redness, tenderness or temporary swelling, and you can go back to normal activities right away.

Medical Weight Loss
How does medical weight loss work at UDERMA?
Our medically supervised program can include GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide or tirzepatide, along with guidance on nutrition and lifestyle, built around your health profile.
Am I a candidate for GLP-1 weight-loss medication?
That depends on your health history and your goals. A medical consultation at UDERMA determines whether a GLP-1 program is appropriate and safe for you.
