HALO® TRIBRID™
three-wavelength resurfacing laser handpiece
HALO TRIBRID is Sciton's newest resurfacing handpiece, and it works by combining three separate, independently adjustable laser wavelengths in one device instead of requiring a provider to switch between separate handpieces. It brings together the 2940 nanometer ablative erbium wavelength used for controlled surface resurfacing (the technology behind Sciton's ProFractional and Contour TRL devices), the 1927 nanometer non-ablative wavelength used in MOXI for water-targeted, gentle renewal, and the 1470 nanometer non-ablative wavelength used in HALO for deeper dermal heating. Because a provider can mix these three wavelengths in different amounts within a single session, Sciton positions it as letting a patient's textural concerns, pigment, fine lines and sun damage be addressed together, tailored to that patient's skin and downtime tolerance, rather than requiring separate visits for separate devices. It runs on Sciton's JOULE X platform. This research did not find a device-specific FDA 510(k) clearance record for HALO TRIBRID itself; it combines wavelengths that were already individually cleared on Sciton's Joule platform.
