Forever Clear BBL®

BroadBand Light (BBL) treatment protocol for acne

Forever Clear BBL is a named protocol for treating acne using Sciton's BBL device, not a separate machine. According to Sciton's own description, it is delivered in three passes over the skin during one visit: a blue-light pass intended to act on acne-related bacteria in the pores, a yellow-light pass intended to calm inflammation and redness, and a third pass using gentle infrared pulses intended to support the skin's healing response and enhance the first two steps. It is aimed at mild to moderate acne on the face or body and is offered as a non-drug option alongside or instead of topical or oral acne medication. It is usually done as a series of sessions rather than as a single visit. As with Forever Young BBL, this is a treatment protocol performed on the underlying BBL platform rather than a separately FDA-cleared device.

The record

  • Performed on Sciton's BBL platform as a three-pass protocol: blue light, then yellow light, then infrared light, according to Sciton's own product page.
  • Marketed for mild to moderate acne on the face and body.
